Matt Triplett, (Columbia Falls, Montana) won Round 1 of the 25th PBR Unleash The Beast World Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Wednesday night win took him from No. 16 to No. 13 in the world standings.
Triplett rode Little Tucker (Patterson/Halpain) for 89.25 points to earn $35,000 and 300 world points.  This puts Triplett 3,589.16 points behind the current first place bull rider, Kaique Pacheco (Brazil).

“He should have bucked me off. I kept shoving my feet down and hanging on,” Triplett said.  “My dad taught me my whole life, you don’t quit until your head hits the ground.”

Pacheco’s determination to bring home the PBR World Title this year is evident after he continues to compete after severe injuries sustained during the PBR Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour Finals.

Pacheco sustained tears to both his left MCL and PCL during Round 2 of the Velocity Tour Finals.  During Round 1 of the PBR Finals Wednesday night, Pacheco covered Rugby (LeFlore Bucking Bulls) for 87.25 points tying for sixth place.
